I have a beautiful peace lily. I've had it now for over 4 yrs. The thing is, it has only bloomed twice since I've had it. It is about 2ft tall; the leaves are healthy looking, with occational drying out in the tips.....but other then that it looks healthy...but why won't she bloom? It is planted in a plastic 12" pot. Any info would be great...thankyou!

Some information on how you grow the plant would be helpful. Typically, this aroid grows best in indirect light and produces and inflorescence more often when allowed to dry a bit between watering. The soil should be porous and should not remain wet or soggy. These are heavy feeders and should be fertilized frequently to induce a spathe and spadix. Most successful growers recommend giving your spath a dilute fertilizer with each watering.

Thankyou for the info; I will fertilize more often now. It would be great to see this beautiful plant in bloom again.. ! ( As you say, I do keep the watering down to dry times in between)

Keep it near a window, just not in direct light. Early morning or afternoon sun is fine. Just don't keep it too dry, nor soggy wet.
