I'm kinda new to the "keeping tropical house plants alive" thing. How long should I wait before I change my approach with both my cat palms and peace lily. My peace lily was perky 3 or 4 days ago but now is droopy. The soil is moist and I'm kind of afraid to give it more water for fear of root rot. The soil mix for both plants is Miracle Grow Potting Mix or Hyponex Mix, I've forgotten exactly which. My cat palms have brown tips but seem to have perked up. I've drenched one with lots of sun and water. The other has medium indirect light and lightly moist soil. They both have brown tips but again are perking up about the same. If I were to, for instance, drench the peace lily against my better judgement, how quickly should it respond before I try something else? Or better yet, are my cat palms already dead and just don't know it? Have I beaten this horse dead? How long? -Thanks - Huck
