Plant shown is an Anthurium. "Peace lily" I think is most often used for Spathiphyllum. Anyway, if cultural conditions suitable more flowers can be expected in future. Flowering house plants generally require much higher light levels than foliage house plants.

    Try Googling "anthurium culture".

Looks like A. andreanum to me. In any case, it will most likely rebloom next summer; for this one, blooming is a function of day length. You could probably force it with HD lights, but it's not healthy for the plant.

Ones seen around recently growing in ordinary indoor conditions unsuitable for Andean anthuriums as well as having the same leaf shapes as the specimen shown here I believe to be hybrids between Andean and pigtail anthuriums - or some other new type. The ease of cultivation allowing them to be stocked by supermarkets and other such outlets and grown as house plants would be inherited from the pigtail anthurium.
