I planted a Paulownia tomentosa several years ago and notice that it and one my neighbour has only flower every 2 years. My question is, if I deadhead the tree, at least while its small, would it flower every year. Thanks in advance for any info

Probably not. You're very much on the fringe of where it is possible to get it to flower at all - it needs hotter, longer summers to promote more reliable flowering.

Thanks for the reply. Here on Vancouver Island there are lots of them, all looking very large and healthy. I didn't take any special care to protect it from winter weather so I think its warm enough but we don't get the volunteer's from the seeds that people in the southern US rant about being such weeds. To bad it won't flower every year as its very beautiful
