Identification: Palm?

    Can this, newly acquired, 40 year old potted plant be easily identified for watering reasons?

    Maybe Yucca elephantipes.

    yes, Yucca. May not be elephantipes - base of stems would be enlarging by this time. As far as I know, the watering routine would not change. Very drought tolerant and excess water may cause rot.

    Thank you togata57 and SusanDunlap. I have a few yuccas (by the looks of them). From what I've read now, I'll have to place them in full sunlight this spring where they won't take too much rainfall.
