Thank you for taking the time to read this post...After a lot of "googling" this website and answer came up in the search EVERY time. There is clearly an abundance of knowledge here and I'd love some help.

I have 2 plants: I just brought them indoors for the winter...Adequate light and supplemented light available if necessary.

First plant I'm not too sure exactly what type it is...But it seems to be "generally" healthy.

Second plant after much searching I believe is the dreaded Majesty Palm - every post I've read on this site says they're terrible house plants...and mine will most likely die...

HOWEVER...I'm determined to give it a shot anyway...

I have just ordered a soil test kit and water/ph meter which should be here next week...

In the mean time...PLEASE look at the pictures and give me your expertise/advice.

The Majesty palm (if so facto) looks to be suffering from some form of fungus. I can scrape the pieces off and under a magnifying glass look kind of like red feathers...

The first picture is the plant I'm not sure of...

The second picture is what I believe is the Majesty Palm

The third picture is the "growth" that I can scrape off the MP

    Thanks in advance for looking!
