I am trying to look for a type of palm that I saw awhile back. I think it is a type of Madagascar palm. The unique feature about them, as I remember, is there is a single row of prawns in the top that grow in a fan-like pattern. They are really cool looking. Any ideas? Thanks.
Travelers tree? (not actually a palm)? Madagascar has at least one native palm with the leaves in just two rows, one on each side of the stem.
Yes, I am pretty sure that's it. My mind may have remembered it being slightly different, but what else could it be? Thanks!
Here's a photo of that distichous palm: http://www.pacsoa.org.au/palms/Wallichia/disticha.html Travelers Tree is Ravenala madagascariensis
