    What species palm are these and are they pruned to have single needle like palm frawns or is it their nature?

    Might be Dasylirion longissimum, Mexican Grass Tree.

    Ya I googled images and looks like it, thanks much, Searching for palms is why i was have so much trouble I guess.

    There are also the Australian grass trees; Xanthorrhoea Glauca, Pressii, and Johnsonii...
