Pacific Wax Myrtle can thrive in the coastal areas here based on what I've read online. I'd like to plant a row of these as hedge, but I haven't looked for them in garden centres until now. Has anyone seen them being stocked here in the Lower Mainland? I called up a couple of nurseries in Surrey/Langley area but no luck (Art's and Cedar Rim).

Thank you, Garry. Salt Spring is a bit out of the way for me, but it's good to know they might have this myrtle there. I forgot to update this thread after reading your reply.

I ended up calling several nurseries around the Lower Mainland and found none stock the Pacific Wax Myrtle. One nursery explained they used to stock them, but they got too many returns as the plants seemed to get beaten up by the winters here.
