I have a 3'h x 5'w shrub in my yard. It has small yellow flowers similar to St. johns wort. Spade shaped green foliage that turns rust colored at the edges. The stems are similar to blueberry as they also turn to a rust color. the little yellow flowers have turned into berries that are red with white/yellow pulp inside and they have a wonderful citrus smell to them. Can anyone tell me what this might be. I haven't been able to find it at my local nursery.

Next one is also a shrub. Dark Green succulent/shiny foliage with black skinned berries, green flesh and a large seed in the center. The berries grow in a small cluster under the top spray of leaves. Any clues would be appreciated.

    Thank you,
    E Powers

First one is something on the order of Hypericum androsaemum which is native to Europe, Asia & Africa, showing some pest potential in the Seattle area. A similar garden form is called 'Elstead'.
