Pachypodium problems

Discussion in 'Cacti and Succulents' started by Unregistered, Aug 3, 2005.

  1. Hello. I have a small Pachypodium inopinatum and need a bit of advice with respect to watering and cultivation. With once-weekly watering, the leaves are beginning to yellow, and the base of the plant is shriveling. Perhaps I've been too careful in trying not to overwater it?? What to do?

Thanks for any help that you can give me!

Hello guest, I don't have specific info about your plant, but I did find a great webpage on the genus when I looked up the name:

Sounds like a very interesting plant, hopefully someone with firsthand experience growing this one will comment. I thought only cactus had true spines, but this description mentions spines?
