I have just purchased a Pachira plant, and I absolutely love it. My question is: How do I keep it braided? Do I need to braid it manually as it grows or does it do it on its own?

    Thank you for help,

It won't continue to braid on its own, but you can gently continue doing it yourself once trunks have grown out more each year. I would be careful though, because you don't want to stifle any new branching that might be planning to emerge from somewhere at some point, so keep an eye out for new bud places when you're braiding. I took mine all apart and I'm growing them like a little palm 'forest' now.
