    Hello,

I need some help with Pachira that I got one year ago. For a few months all was good, but then it stopped growing and started to dry on end of the leaves and some leaves turn yellow and fall off eventually.

We are watering it every two weeks with around 2dcl.

We keep the plant right next to a window that gets direct sun for about six hours in the summer. It is east-facing, so it is getting morning/late morning sun.

    Thanks in advance

Personally to me, this plant looks healthy. The leaves aren't drooping or wilting, and are a lovely green. As for the yellowing tips, a lot of green plants/trees do that at one point or another to change leaves. However, the pot does look too small for this plant. I would consider upgrading to a much larger pot, as the roots could be root bound. I would also water it a little more - once a week with the amount you are at to start. Hope this helps.

These plants are pretty tough so don't panic. When the tips of the leaves go brown its a sign of stress so maybe a repot into a slightly larger pot and regular watering would help also just be careful that when the sun is at its hottest that its not coming through the window directly onto the plant as could scorch the leaves. I have one of these plants which is in a large pot outside under trees so gets dappled light and is growing well. I live in the North of NZ so although we do get occasional frosts here in winter its a fairly mild climate.
