Hello there; I've been given a small Oyama magnolia (two feet) and I'm wondering as to the best time to transplant? Both the receiver and the donor live on Vancouver Island so the plant would only be out of the soil for about an hour. Should I wait until fall or can I move it now (July)? I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thank you Eveline

Go ahead and try it now. Move with intact soil ball.
