I need some help with over fertilizing a Drake Elm. I went to Home Depot and bought some tree fert spikes and put all 4 of them in the ground around the drip line. The Elm is a very young tree that I planted a few months ago and is about 2 to 3 inchs in Diameter. The leaves have started to turn yellow so I dug up the fertilizing spikes and started to slowly water the tree, any more suggestions...?

The fertilizer may not even be the problem, but either too much water not draining away well from the roots, or not enough water at a time when you do it (I'm not sure what you mean by 'slowly' watering the tree). If the fert. is the problem, there is nothing you can do at this point but wait.
