I'm new to gardening, and where I would like to start my garden there is hardly any light at all.. Can someone please let me know of some good starter plants that dont need to much sunlight.

Pachysandra does well for me in fairly deep shade---have had a bed of it for many years alongside my garage, where the plants get only a tad bit of light in late afternoon. It is an excellent ground cover and does bloom in the spring (mine is, right now).

Any chance that you could increase your light level? Prune overhanging branches, etc.?
