Outdoor Hibiscus in BC Winter?

    I have 2 Hibiscus plants that I got from Costco which sit in containers on my patio in Abbotsford. Do I have to bring them in, or, winterize them in any way, or, can I leave them where they are? We get little snow. My patio is covered so they won-t get soaked.

    Hello Tamarat,

    Do you have the tropical hibiscus or one of the hardy ones? I would assume you have the tropical, which will definately not survive a winter outdoors in BC.

    There are quite a few threads about hibiscus on the forums. You can do a search (search function is on the green bar at the top of the page) for hibiscus to find the threads. Here is one that has a link to good winter care advice for tropical hibiscus:
