I planted 4 Crimson Glory ornamental grape vines this year. They have taken off quickly, however the leaves are brown around the edges and look a bit worse for wear. I'm not sure if I'm over or under watering or it may be windburn as we live on a hill. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Hi Bonny,

Maybe you should add a picture, how much water do you give (or rain). There are many reasons for brown edges on the leaves.

Give us a pic and maybe we can help.

    Cheers

First year and even second year vines don't have nearly the resilience of an established planting, and can easily "get ahead of themselves". Any one of a number of stressers can then set them back, but usually more of a visual effect than a serious problem. Excess N (usually from fertilizing) can leave a heavy top overtaxing a relatively immature root system.
You should still monitor and be prepared to react to any real issues.
