I planted an ornamental cherry tree (Yoshima) in the Fall of 2004. It has done well until now. We had four days of heavy rain followed by three days of hot humid weather. Three days ago the tree looked great in the morning when I checked it for japanese beetles, but by noon every leaf dropped off. I don't know what to do or what happened. Any suggestions.

Spellcheck: Yoshino. Sounds like roots got too wet, may be a goner. Good drainage at all times for cherries.
