We have 4 forums concerning food crops; I wonder if there is enough interest to justify a forum or sub-forum on ORGANIC FOOD GROWING?

I'm not specifically interested in growing in a certified operation (though others may be) but more in the practical aspects for a small garden such as companion cropping, pest management alternatives for those who are getting less and less comfortable with chemical solutions, crop or cultivar selection for disease resistance...

I know there are plant breeders (particularly in Grapes) that are developing and selecting plants based on their survival in the complete absence of sprays as well as the usual selection parameters like taste, crop volume, appearance etc. By the way they are (for the most part) doing this without grafting on genetics from fish or slugs or what have you.

I would be interested in seeing this forum developed. We grow both fruit and vegetables organically, just for ourselves now but are getting enough to justify going to farmers' markets with some things. The more I grow, the more I like to hear what others are doing.

I would be interested in such a forum as I grow fruit, veggies and flowers organically and it would be very useful to find all postings without having to go to the individual forums.
Where I live organic is becoming the main stream with farmers' markets and growing sections of the grocery stores being dedicated to organics. We also have a Food Security programme which is aimed to encouraging residents to grown as much of their own food as possible.
