My oreocereus is sprouting new growth on the side. What does this mean. I know nothing about cacti and inherited several fairly exotic ones. Do they need more water.i water about once a month or do they need more light?
It doesn't mean anything important, it is just maturing. Do you want to show a picture of the plant? If there is anything else up, that would help to tell, but I don't think anything should be wrong. If things seem to have been working, I wouldn't change anything.
