Very nice I had a orchid of my own to add, it is a Venus Slipper and somewhat common where I live

It looks like a Dendrobium hybrid, nice colour!

My orchid is not a venus slipper. I agree more with the Dendrobium hybrid suggestion. I thought it was a well defined species of Dendrobium. It is really beautiful. I got it as a gift and, if it is a hybrid, I dont know what the parents could be. Any clues?

Ooy. Difficult to tell parentage on Dedrobium crosses unless the plant was labeled. There are thousands and thousands. (Which is why I largely stick to growing endemic species...)
