I planted an orange pit in a warm zone south Florida. The tree is now 6 feet high always looks moldy on the leaves and new shoots I wipe it off with a rag,Will not flower and I wonder can it pollinate I do not see any bees.My old tangerine tree stopped flowering also. There is not much water now in south florida but the sprinkler system is on twice a week Oh sun us half a day on the orange tree

The substance on the leaves is likely to be sooty mold. Look for pests and deal with them to resolve the problem.

The seedling orange tree is likely in a juvenile state if it has not begun to flower. I believe oranges require 10-15 years to reach maturity; yours is only two years old.

A lack of regular fertilization may partly explain the lack of flowering on the tangerine tree.
