I am planting a bunch of "Lucifer" crocosmia bulbs sent by a friend...they are, in her garden at least, fabulously, glowingly red!

I would like to plant alongside something long flowering in the orange range to make a contrast...what plants can you advise for the Vancouver, BC area??

    Regards and thanks,
    Janet

If you like crocosmia, there is an orange variety, a yellow and a couple of others. Google crocosmia and Check it out. I love the red of the Lucifer.

Other plants that will work in Van and have pleasant, long-lasting orange flowers include Calendula and Tagetes (marigolds). Their shape provides a nice contrast to the starry bells of Crocosmia.
