Opuntia Humifusa - eastern prickly pear cactus

    Although hardy to zone 4b, this perennial plant must be kept dry if it is to survive during Vancouver's winter months- these blossoms are over 3 inches across (the pink flowers seen in the first image are ice plant delosperma cooperi)

    FYI, these blossoms last for only 1 day
