I have a 6' wide area with a fence . 5 ' away from the fence is a 6' Fireglow. The area is full sun . I would like a hedge from 8' to 15 ' Tall but thin 2' or so . I was considering two skyrocket junipers. I think the contrast would be nice . My concern other than hedging back from the maple is that higher up say 8' there would be openings. I am also unsure as to how they look at maturity . Do they commonly have bare spots ? Is there a similiar plant I should consider ?
