This is my second year with a vine that is probably 5 years old. Last year it produced many clusters of seedless, sweet table grapes. It was pruned back to 3 or 4 branches about 3 or 4 feet long in December / January and now has grown back with a vengence to at least as long, dense and healthy looking as last year. Trouble is I thought by now we would have many small green clusters but only have one...no others have developed...thus we'll not have a crop this year. Once again the vine otherwise looks great. Does anyone have any ideas of what could have happened...and hopefully what I can do to have a crop next year if not this? Thanks for any help anyone can provide!
Hope you get some help with your problem, but in the meantime... Do you know if this grape vine grows true, from seed? Are you able to show a picture of your vine? : )
Do you know what variety you have. As you this know years growth on your grapevine is next years fruiting wood. This the wood you need to produce the grapes. Other factors that would affect fruit formation include poor pollination or possibly a micronutrient defiency. Is your grape growing in full sun.? Cheers
