Hi! I have looked in my fruit tree books but cannot seem to identify what is wrong with my one year old apple (pixie crunch) and (now seems to be spreading to my) cherry (dwarf stella). I noticed this problem on the apple about a week ago and at the time also noted some webbing on a single leaf. I sprayed the entire tree with a bit of soap/water combination I had mixed up to battle the aphids on my blueberries. Now, about a week later, the entire tree seems badly infected (I hope the soap/water spray isn't an extra problem!!). At the time, I noticed the same issue on the cherry (though less severe) and I sprayed it as well. The first two pictures are the apple and the third is the cherry. I see no further evidence of bugs. Both trees are container planted with new soil from Gardenworks in a 2:1 garden soil/compost ratio with a handful of manure and a sprinkle of fruit tree fertilizer. Both were planted April 4th, 2010 in full sun in a southern exposed backyard in Kits and seemed to be doing well before this issue. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated! Meghan
