    Looks like some kind of pea vine to me

    Vicia sp., V.americana looks similar.

    After looking at them on Google I agree, but there seem two distinctively different ones, and the are of occurrence given does not include Texas.

    They look very much like this one
    But not clustered like this one

    I ran across what looks like the same thing to me yesterday, in a different year and an entirely different location.
