    Funny that bunchberry would be wind-pollinated. Maybe it throws out pollen into the air but is also visited by insects. Noticed also they said coast redwood was native to the Northwest, when as is widely known it is strictly Californian, not occurring north of the Chetco River (where it appears to be prevented from reproducing by western hemlock).

    He must have been thinking of Chamaepericlymenum when he wrote "The only other species in the genus, C. suecica (of Eurasia)", even though the C. in this instance stood for Cornus (it being the genus spelled out just prior).
