I have 4 pear trees of different ages all planted near my main vegetable garden , I`m having trouble with water sprouts. while they all get some ,, my largest tree,,, it is about 20 years old and I try to keep it pruned and cut at a resonable level . However it produces an incredable amount of water sprouts . I have to cut them off at least 3 times a summer and again in dormancy . Were talking like around 100 of them [[each time]] from 1 to 3 ft long . Question is should I just leave them go and do them once when it is dorment or just keep on trimming ,, Any or other sugestions are appreciated !
It really is a major job that could use an answer.

I have not pruned it back an over amount , also it is not getting an excess amout of nitrigen I don`t think . It does produce nice pears . ,
