Odd Vine in Iowa

    Not sure what this is? From Western Iowa, broke one open and in each little knob there was a white thing in the center. Any help would be awesome!!

    Looks like garlic and a grape vine and some other plant.

    I guessed the grape vine. I'm just confused what those little pod like things are.

    Do they smell like onion or garlic when you crush them?

    No. They don't really have an odor or smell at all.

    Are they actually growing from a vine? What do the leaves look like?
