Oak Identification

I am a newby here and a buddying woodturner in South Africa. Can someone please identify this oak (approximately 80 years old.) ?

Any acorns? If yes, a pic (including the acorn cup) would help a lot with identification.

When looking around a little more, I discovered another specimen on the local common just outside my house!
Here are better images:

 

Passed this one on to oak expert Thierry Lamant; he identified it as Netleaf Oak Quercus rugosa, native to Arizona, southern New Mexico, western Texas, Mexico, and Guatemala.

As expected. This species is grown here also, in fact I planted a small one myself but so far it is struggling.
