Identification: Oak fern

    Is this an oak fern? I cannot think what else it could be. The entire plant is only about as big as my hand. No sori on the leaves.

    Could it instead be Gymnocarpium dryopteris? Which ever it is, that would not be a baby per se but rather an individual frond among many growing from a long, creeping rhizome.
