Found up in NW Missouri....early summer-time. Only found a couple plants bearing these 'hooked bubbles'.........any ideas?

It's a member of the Fabaceae, but beyond that I'm not sure. The ones I've seen here with that same seedpod have purple flowers that resemble Salvia flowers, but the resemblance stops there.

If it was a eucalypt we could call it a bubble gum.
