    hi,
Im a new member 1st post.
    just an old retired guy.
with a couple question on planting nut seeds.
    1. when you stratified the seeds do you take them out of the shell?
    2. when you soak them in water do you take them out of the shell?
3.with the walnuts if they brake apart are they still good?
    4.same with the pecans.
    pecans
    chestnuts
    walnuts
    filberts
this will keep me going till spring time.

    thank you for any info.

Nut is a seed which under ordinary circumstances needs to be planted whole, like other seeds.

    thanks,
so when they say soak them for 24hr to 48hr they mean the hole nut shell and all.
then put them in cold storage.
