At the nursery I work we have two mystery plants. One is in a hanging basket (appropriate?) and has a woody type stalk and the flowers are beatiful! The are two shades of blue. The lower two split petals are a dark blue, the side two petals are a lighter, almost sky blue and on the top, in the middle are "eyelashes" throwing up and over a bit. If I can figure out how, I'll attach a photo. The other one is also blue (go figure) and is in the shape of a normal (?) flower with a red center showing yellow off that. The "leaves" are almost like portulaca. I can't believe that it is a genus of that though, but I suppose it could be. Please help! We are selling them and actually look pretty ignorant calling them "Mystery Plants"! Thanks!
For the first one, it is likely Clerodendrum myricoides 'Ugandense' - I think the cultivar is more common than the species.
Clerodendrum ugandense (Glory Bower, Blue Butterfly Flower) Anagallis monelli or A. arvensis (Blue pimpernel)
