Taisha Mitchell wrote the blog this month - November 2014 in the Garden | UBC Botanical Garden. I posted a Disanthus cercidifolius flower photo in my November 4, 2014 - Red, yellow and green posting. Here are a few more of the flowers Taisha mentioned. Nipponanthemum nipponicum Zenobia pulverulenta, in the Ericaceae family Also in Ericaceae is Arbutus unedo. I'm seeing these elsewhere with fruits now along with the flowers, but I didn't see a single fruit on the ones in the garden. Here are a few not mentioned in the blog. Again in Ericaceae is this Rhododendron cinnabarinum. I was going to say something about its blooming out of season, but it seems I've posted it in October in two previous years. The Euonymus carnosus is so beautiful now, right at the entrance to the garden. And my favourite, Viburnum x bodnantense, is in bloom now.
