No, there is nothing glorious about these objects. In fact, I think they are down right ugly.
It looks like the seed pods of Gloriosa rothschildiana. Joe

Also called the Chilean Glory Vine.
I quite like the pods, they look like fat peas.
This one has overwintered without protection on USDA Sone 8a. But it would be a bit of a stretch to imagine that it will grow where you are gardening - Mars!
