I think I planted this last summer or fall... But I don't remember....
Could it be Dicentra? Possibly dicentra spectabilis (common name "Bleeding Heart").
Peony for me
Peony for me too
definitely Dicentra spectabilis. Mine are just beginning to shoot and look exactly the same
Dicentra spectabilis V/S Peony .Whatplant send another pic when this plant have flower!
I have to say definitely a dicentra spectabilis as well, mine are coming up and are a mirror image to this picture.
Whatplant, what did you plant there, Dicentra or Peony? I'm starting to lean towards Dicentra myself. Janet
It looks like both to me..but leaning towards the dicentra. If you planted it last fall there would not have been much left of the bleeding heart however they go dormant at summers end.
Ok, will do.
I have no idea, that's why I asked... I don't remember what I planted, I only remember that I planted some tulips.
Whatplant: I originally thought Dicentra because it looks too fleshy/glaucous to be a peony.
In the last five minutes I've taken this picture of my emerging peony. Maybe it will help (sorry the quality's not too good).
I know how you can tell, if your plant's stem is hollow, it is Dicentra. I had to clean up a bunch of these and the hollow stems were full of Earwigs, yuck. Janet
Whatplant the reason I asked is I thought maybe our identifications may have sparked your memory as to what was planted. If you are willing to sacrifice a stem, I'm sure we would all like to know, and then you could be sure of how to properly care for it. Janet
She will know very shortly if a Dicentra.
YES, Dicentra spectabilis.
Another vote for Dicentra spectabilis.
