While walking in the woods of New Hampshire I discovered this plant along the trail and was wondering if anyone here could tell me what it might be? Here's a photo of it: http://www.skisunapee.com/other/IMG_0816.JPG Thanks
Most likely Clintonia borealis or Blue-bead Lily. The actual flower is yellow. The blue bead is the berry. See http://lachlan.bluehaze.com.au/chalk_river/2004/august2004/22aug2004e/ for comparison and http://www.ncwaterfalls.com/flora/bluebead_lily1.htm for a picture of the flower. We get a similar lily Clintonia uniflora in the NW. Harry
