I have several newly planted 1-2 year trees (in ground and in container). Live in St. Louis (5b) and have been watering 1-2 times per week depending on conditions; We have our first colder snap of weather coming up with lows expected about 25 F (The lowest we can get here is a few degrees below in jan/feb. ) I have a couple of inches of mulch laid down. The question is how should I adjust watering as winter approaches? Is there ever a time I should stop or hold watering (e.g with potential freezing temps?) Thanks in advance for any suggestions for this first winter.
