I heard this about this fungus on CBC's Quirk and Quarks. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/11/081103192319.htm
Very good article, here in Mn. at the University they are researching the pond scum that covers the lakes
sad that he considers a diesel providing fungi more important then an anti-cancer fungi he found already.
But that way people can be sold diesel vehicles and diesel fuel to be used to drive cancer victims to treatment facilities where they receive expensive and futile treatments. The fumes from the burning of the diesel might also promote respiratory diseases etc. Then there's the money that can be made treating people with diseases caused by the refineries. See: there's more money in the diesel. And money is the so-to-speak, driving force in our culture. Of course, if somebody came up with a revolutionary new cancer treatment and patented it they could make millions off of it.
