Identification: new to the site and trying to id a couple plants

    hi, my name is jamie and i just found this site,
    im looking for a little help, i have 2 plants that i have tried and tried to identify and had no luck what so ever so far lol
    i was hoping to find some help here?

    The first appears to be Adenium obesum, Desert Rose. The second may be Peperomia obtusifolia 'Variegata', Baby Rubber Plant.

    I agree that #1 is a Desert Rose. The one shown was created from a cutting. From a seed, the plant will have a 'bulbous' base, and the cuttings keep a straight trunk.

    thank you guys soo much, ive been trying for a while to find out what the were, as for the first, it actually does have the bulbous base, you just cant see it very well in that picture lol. im really greatful for the help, now i can find out if theres any special treatments they need like my african violets do :D

    you guys have been a big help, i just thought i might try asking one more question lol
    i have a love for exotic plants and im kinda looking to increase my collection, would you have any suggestions that might be a good challenge??

    It would be helpful for you to provide a set of parameters for the query. For example. What type of plants interest you? Flowering plants, perhaps with a pleasant fragrance? Ones with interesting foliage? What is your idea of 'exotic'? What environment can you provide these plants? You get the idea.

    Also, I suggest you start a new thread for your question: New topic? New thread. You'll get more responses that way.
