Can anyone help me identify the two wildflowers in the hummingbird pictures below.
They were growing in August in the "sky island" Rocky Mountains of Southern (Cloudcroft) New Mexico. Thank you in advance for any help in identifying or getting started down the right path. I believe one is a Penstemon, but don't know how to get started on the smaller "blue-bell" flower (the plant was under 1 foot tall). I am a developing hummingbird photographer, and I usually use indigenous wildflowers from the photo location. In the future, I will strive to identify the flower while it is still in hand. I really appreciate any help I can get.

I have more photos but have restricted to a few owing to the size restrictions. I realize that an expert may need more of the leaves/plant etc.

I had a problem with my first post, I don't think the attachments were there, I hope they are transmitted this time. IMG_1191_edited.JPG

The first one should be a species from Polemoniaceae family, possibly genus Polemonium (jacob's ladder).

Thanks again, I have found one very similar image of Jacob's ladder, and I will research further. I appreciate your help.
