    Hi,

My name is Dan Barton and I live in Bristol, England. I have just registered on this incredible site and look forward to many more visits. My main interests are in growing bonsai (which I have done for 35 years) and I had a book published in 1989 by Ebury press on the subject. Title: The Bonsai Book.

I am especially interested in Pines and maples and alpines. I have posted a query on the Identification page with an attachment and hope someone will be able to supply an answer.

    all the best,

    Dan

    Hi Dan

I am from Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada. I am also a bonsai enthusiast. I have been into bonsai for about 10 yrs now and I have read your book. Did you also have an article in Bonsai Today at one point? Since you are into pines, could you tell me if it is possible to air layer mugo pines? I have just grafted a yatsabutsa black pine onto a mugo root stock and want to air layer it later to make the graft as low as possible to the roots.

    Thanks
