I have just seeded a new lawn (shady mix). After the seeds have germinated small "mushrooms" have germiniated along with them. The seedlings are only a week old. Will the "mushrooms" affect the new lawn? If there anything I should do? Thank you, Ilona
Everything I've read says mushrooms don't cause any problems (will disappear anyways.) You could always overseed again in spring to fill in if necessary. Once lawn thoroughly established - end of next year, always good to aerate and lightly topdress with sand.
