Mine is in part shade by my new pond and its turned so green .But My neighbor has hers in full sun and hers is red? Is it the soil? Thanks Snowden
Many Acer palmatum varieties, especially those with red leaves, can look dramatically different depending on the amount of sun they recieve. Your tree is getting too much shade, and has therefore turned green. There are red leaved varieties that hold their color better in the shade which you may want to investigate, or you may want to move your Garnet to a sunnier spot. Regards, K4
