A Friend picked up this plant a short time ago because it was very unusual.
I tried googling it by description but came up empty handed.
Any help with an ID would be appreciated so it can be cared for approprietly.
He bought it at a thrift store and it was in need of some TLC, it is doing much better
but What kind of plant is it?

I got this one from a store. The labes says: "Key Lime Pie, Andromischus cristatus, from Cape Province, South Africa".

It looks like Adromischus cristatus, which is a lovely plant and not difficult to grow if you have enough light. They need lots of full sun, to be watered well and then allowed to dry between waterings, and never to sit in water. Prefer a well draining, porous soil mix. Larger plants get quite a lot of those reddish brown hairs on the stems, look almost like they have coarse fur. Not difficult to grow from cuttings.
