I took some camera phone pictures (poor quality) of a wonderful little tree I'd love to have in my small yard.
I've spent hours online trying to identify it, with no luck...
I'd love some site suggestions or guesses as to what kind of tree this is.
It is in US Zone 6.

Eastern redbud, Cercis canadensis...? Catalpa, maybe?
    Any flowers?

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! I think you found it! You are awesome!!!
I didn't recall ever seeing the trees with flowers, however I do vaguely remember seeing bean pods... I think this small detail (ha ha) was throwing me off track. After looking at images on google and reading about Catalpas I am certain you are correct! Thank you so much!

In fact, it is! The catalpa trees around here are all quite tall, where yours has a petite spherical shape that is appealing. My first impulse upon seeing your leaf was 'catalpa'...but then I second-guessed myself BECAUSE of the shape..."...but catalpas are great huge things!" I thought. As Homer Simpson would say: D'oh! A tree has to be small before it gets big!!!

My kids, now in their 20s, still refer to these as 'vanilla-bean trees'. There is a row of catalpa along a street I drive on to work, and in the spring it is a beautiful sight to see these big trees all in full flower. May yours thrive and stay cute!
